Did you know that we offer a Homebound Service? What is the Homebound Program? The Program provides delivery of library materials free of charge to participating residents of the Cobleskill-Richmondville School District, our chartered area of service, who are physically unable to visit The Community Library. Who qualifies as a participant? Anyone can sign up to participate, regardless of age, who is permanently or temporarily physically disabled and cannot come to the library to borrow library material. How does one sign up? One needs to fill out the patron registration form to obtain a library card which will be kept at the library, including a statement certifying that they cannot physically come to the library, and a preference form indicating favorite authors, or types of boooks or library material they would like to borrow to help in selection.
Need more information? Just call , we would be happy to answer your questions.

Thursday, May 23 This book discussion series is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. Sponsored by the Mohawk Valley LibrarySystem and participating member libraries. Did you know that most computers have settings that can help you see more clearly or even read text out loud for you? Many people could benefit from these settings, whether you’ve lost your glasses, are experiencing some vision loss, or people with visual disabilities. The Community Library also has specialized software that allows people who are legally blind to use the computer for writing documents, listening to audio recordings and some use of the internet. If you’d like to know more, don’t hesitate to ask at The Community Library! |
